Day 1: Seattle, Washington:

Transfer to your yacht where your crew greets you with champagne and hors d'oeuvres.

Day 2: The San Juan Islands and Friday Harbor:

Settle into the rhythm of the sea as 'Safari Spirit' cruises through the hundreds of untouched islands in the San Juans. Stroll through Friday Harbor, Washington — a boater's haven. Visit the intriguing Whale Museum or have a look at the many boutique shops in this tiny town. Depart for Canadian waters this afternoon — all eyes open for orca — and anchor in a quiet bay this evening.

Days 3-6: Exploring the Canadian Inside Passage:

Search for orca, seal, sea lion and bear today. Join your expedition leader for a nature hike or kayak excursion. Later, watch a First Nations dance performance in a large cedar-planked house. Then step ashore with naturalists from Raincoast Conservation Society who discuss local wildlife and fisheries studies, including little-known details about the rainforest wolf and the mysterious spirit bear.

Day 7: Prince Rupert, British Columbia:

Prince Rupert is British Columbia's northernmost port along 'Safari Spirit's' route. Embark on a historic sightseeing and museum tour for an introduction to this scenic community. Enjoy a walk in town after dinner.

Day 8: Ketchikan, Alaska:

Discover the rich, cultural heritage of Alaska's Tlingit Indians on a guided tour or Saxman Totem Village with local village resident Joe Williams. You also have time to browse the shops or stroll along Creek Street.

Day 9: Alaskan Waterways:

Stop in Meyer's Chuck, a hidden village with fewer than 50 people. Later, 'Safari Spirit' anchors in Canoe Pass where there is an opportunity for a closer look at the region from kayaks.

Day 10: Petersburg, Alaska:

Join a local guide for a private tour of Petersburg, a charming fishing port with Norwegian roots. This afternoon, enter some of the richest whale waters in southeast Alaska; watch for the familiar blows of humpback whale.

Days 11-12: Fjords and Hot Springs:

Spend two days in the wildest, most pristine corners of Alaska paddling kayaks in remote fjords, hiking to natural hot springs and wandering through the temperate rainforest.

Days 13-14: Glacier Bay National Park:

Tidewater glaciers sweep like rivers of ice down massive mountain valleys into the waters of Glacier Bay. You have two days to explore this majestic national park. Spend your days paddling kayaks to observe puffin, sea lion, mountain goat, bear, moose and eagle who live in the spectacular wilderness. On your last night, celebrate at a farewell dinner.

After breakfast, arrive in Juneau and transfer to the airport or to a local hotel.

A deposit of $1,500 per person is required at time of booking. Final payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. If your reservation is made within 60 days of departure, the entire cost of the program must be paid at time of the request in order to secure confirmation.

Final payment must reach our office 60 days prior to your departure from your home city or in full at the time reservations are confirmed if less than 60 days prior. If this payment is not received in time, your space may be released; rebooking will then be subject to final availability.

90-60 days….. forfeiture of deposit
59-46 days….. 50% of the tour price
45-31 days….. 75% of the tour price
30 days or less…..100% of the tour price
